In this article I will explain the difference between keyword density, keyword prominence and Key word proximity :

Keyword Density

Keyword density refers to the ratio (percentage) of keywords contained within the total number of indexable words within a web page.

The preferred keyword density ratio varies from search engine to search engine. In general, I recommend using a keyword density ratio in the range of 2-8%.

You may like to use this real-time keyword analysis tool to help you optimize a web page’s keyword density ratio.

Keyword Frequency

Keyword frequency refers to the number of times a keyword or keyword phrase appears within a web page.

The theory is that the more times a keyword or keyword phrase appears within a web page, the more relevance a search engine is likely to give the page for a search with those keywords.

In general, I recommend that you ensure that the most important keyword or keyword phrase is the most frequently use keywords in a web page.

But be careful not to abuse the system by repeating the same keyword or keyword phrases over and over again.

Keyword Prominence

Keyword prominence refers to how prominent keywords are within a web page.

The general recommendation is to place important keywords at, or near, the start of a web page, sentence, TITLE or META tag.

Keyword Proximity

Keyword proximity – It measures the distance between the two keywords in a text .( used by search engine to measure relevancy ) closer the keyword each other more relevant is page

or in proper format .

Keyword proximity refers to closeness of keywords. Your keywords should be close to each other in content of web page. Many people don’t know about keywords. They generally treats key phrases as a keyword. Usually we do not target keyword.

For example: This post is related to “Keyword Proximity”. The word “Keyword Proximity” is not a key word. It is a key phrase. Here “Keyword” is a one keyword and “Proximity” is another keyword.

To make proximity higher you should use both keywords in you content.

Example of “Keyword Proximity”: Keeping your keywords close to each other helps to increase proximity. Here you can see that I am using keyword (Actually key phrase) “Keyword Proximity” in isolated form. Distance between “Keyword” and “Proximity” should be less to make proximity higher. Using your keywords again and again in content is not a good practice. It is called “Keyword Stuffing”. That’s why we should use main keyword in its original form and in isolated form too.

For example:

How Keyword Density Affects Search Engine Rankings

How Keyword Density Affects Rankings In Search Engine

Using the example above, if someone searched for “search engine rankings,” a web page containing the first sentence is more likely to rank higher than the second.

The reason is because the keywords are placed closer together. This is assuming that everything else is equal, of course.

Link Building Tips

Hello everyone, Hope you All are doing good. About me – I’m doing nothing today, my system is not working, I have already checked my mails read all entertaining news starting from salman khan to suny leon (sunny leone created new website but not of porn site), getting bored so thinking of doing another post about seo .

Its 2nd october and holiday, litlle dipressed as its dry day today . All bars are closed f***k .

Right now its 1:58 am 70 % of people are sleeping. and the remaining like me are still working hard for there living .

Let us start about SEO, i hope you read my last post about SEO a FUD (Fear Uncertainity and doubt) .
I have to accept that I like to write doom and gloom posts, that is why I wrote that one Seo a FUD .

Thanks to Ashish and Nageen (Both are working with me from last two months) for taking interest in my last post .

Although i do not like link building any more but the comment i saw in my last post ” Contribution to SEO… not super long, but long enough to smooth the rushing little LINK EXCHANGE ” Force me to write about link building .

Link building is the process of creating links in order to promote a website and to improve rankings in the ‘search engine results pages’ (SERPs).

Focus On Quality Not quantity .

Remember Link Building needs lots of hard work and patience .

Or you can say that  – All the link builders are summed up in two words -Patience and hope .

As we all know to promote your web site is to contact other Sites webmasters. Nowadays, webmasters get many link exchange email messages so it’s more difficult to get Links .

Do the following things to make sure that webmasters reply to your link exchange request:

Don’t tell the other webmaster how great the effect of a link exchange will be for the search engine ranking of both web sites. The other webmaster probably knows this anyway. Some people don’t like to be taught in an email message they didn’t request.

Don’t bore the other webmaster with long email messages. Come straight to the point, tell the other webmaster where he can find his link and where he can find easy to use copy/paste code for the link to your site.

Many webmasters don’t like it when they receive a request from a totally unrelated web site. Most people will only link to another web site if the other web site has something to offer for their visitors. Only write to related web sites.

Make sure that you link to the other web site before asking for a link back. Why should the other webmaster link to you if you haven’t bothered to link to him first?

Tell the other webmaster where he can find his link and make sure that the URL is correct.

Check what the links pages are like. Definitely avoid links pages that have over 50 links, or use dynamic URLs, or are not ind exed by search engines.

Don’t praise your own web site. It’s enough to mention your web site URL and to explain what both your site and the link partner’s web site have in common.

Unless the links page of the site receives a large amount of traffic or that they have a high PageRank, stick to sites about the same topic as your own. If your site is about Travel,  look for sites that are about travel.

Do not use a free email account, for example “you@hotmail.com”. It makes your link exchange mail seem like a spam mail.

Search engine bots are unlikely to go more than three levels deep on any website. So links buried deeper may not be found. When looking for quality links, look for websites that provide links as close to the home page as possible.

look at the source code of the links page to make sure that You are receiving  honest inbound backlinks. Does the site use rel=nofollow or external redirects for their outbound links?

If they are willing to place your link on a content page, then they are definitely valued link partner.

As i have already mention my experience is 1.6 year, so i am Just sharing my views  .

Good Luck

SEO a FUD – Fear Uncertainity and Doubts

About SEO, I have been studying it and been successful at it for about 1.6 years. Right now I’m watching a course on search engines from Academic Earth. The first speaker was Sergey Brin of Google. So far I have not learned a thing in the course.

Consider how much is known about search at Google, Yahoo and Microsoft, and that they tend to keep most of that information to themselves. Then compare how much is written about SEO, very little by people who work at those companies, most by people who do not work at one of those companies.

FUD (fear, uncertainty, doubt), is a popular theme of discussion for any topic. In the U.S, a talk show radio entertainer who spreads FUD for a living, Rush Limbaugh. He makes about $40M a year, more than most people in the entertainment industry make. FUD is very popular. Very.

When I read most of what’s out there about SEO, what I find is mostly FUD. People have blogs they want people to visit. So they write what’s popular. That’s not all bad. Since much of what is known about SEO is kept secret, a good, long-term, SEO strategy will make a conservative guess about the best practices. You can pick up a tip or two by wading through the FUD.

But what is nice to find in SEO blogs is known information, not just guesses and FUD. For example, recently I read about a site that was accepted into 100 directories, nowhere else, and made it into the top ten results on Google as a result, which proved directories still work. There you have known information as a result of an empirical test. And the tester did not even have to work at a Google in order to know something.

There has been a lot written in the last few months about one in five directories having come under Google penalty. If you searched on the name of the directory, for example, aviva directory, then the site would not be listed in the top ten results. The site pages were not delisted. The site page rank was not reduced. The sites just disappeared from the results, at least for awhile. Aviva is back to the number one result for that search term. The disappearing directories created a lot of FUD and a lot of blog posts. But after that, what changed? Not much.

A few changes at Google have become known. Years ago a site could be linked from every page on a 100,000 page site, and Google would credit the site with 100,000 inbound links. Now it’s known Google will only credit one link from that site, perhaps from page with highest page rank, that we do not know. But as a result it’s also known there is no point putting a link on more than a single page of a site. This is known information, stuff that’s hard to come by on most SEO blogs.

I would say that if you want to create the most useful SEO blog, then experiment with sites and report the results. For one site get 100 links in directories, for another 100 links in social networking sites, for another in news sites. Then report which site is doing the best in the results. That would be terrifically useful. And the same experiment could be repeated once a year. That too would be useful. The blog would become known for current, known information about SEO.
